It is authoritatively stated that the report in some Syrian papers to the effect that a large number of Armenian refugees will be settled in Palestine, is incorrect.
No such agreement, it is stated, has been concluded between the League of Nations authorities and the Government of Palestine.
CONGREGATION EMANU-EL TO HONOR DR. SILVERMAN
Dr. Joseph Silverman, Rabbi Emeritus of Congregation Emanu-El, will be honored by the congregation at a reception on March 4, marking the fortieth anniversary of Dr. Silverman’s ministry in the congregation. The reception will be held at the temple next Sunday evening.
Louis Marshall, president of the congregation, will preside.
