For ignoring the Latvian language and publishing their campaign literature for the forthcoming parliamentary elections in Yiddish only, the members of the Jewish Campaign Committee in Rezhitza were arrested.

All members of the Jewish factions were said to be sought by the police for questioning. The authorities confiscated all the campaign literature which was issued only in Yiddish.
