Herman Diamand, well known Polish Jewish economist and one of the outstanding leaders of the Polish Socialist Party in Galicia. was chosen president of the party’s supreme council.
Mr. Diamand, who played a prominent part in the Polish labor movement for many decades, succeeds Ignac Daszynski, the socialist leader, who was recently elected speaker of the Sepm, over the protest of Marshal Pilsudski.
