Articles by prominent leaders of the Soviet Government, decrying the existence of anti-Semitism in Soviet Russia, will be published in a special book against the tendency, by a decision of the Central Committee of the Communist party. The book will also contain statistical data about the situation of the Jews in Russia.
Another book, entitled “Against Anti-Semitism,” by Sgorev, was issued today by the Government publishing house. This book reviews the history of the anti-Semitic movement in Russia and describes the present situation of the Jewish population. It also contains statistics concerning the number of Jews working in Soviet institutions and a review of the Jewish colonization work in Russia.
GLICENSTEIN IS RECEIVED BY MAYOR AT CITY HALL
Enrico Glicentstein, noted Polish Jewish sculptor, was received by Mayor Walker at City Hall on Tuesday. The sculptor, who was presented by Dr. David De Sola Pool, handed to the Mayor a letter from Prince Potenziani, governor of Rome, whom the Mayor met on his trip abroad a year ago.
The Mayor commissioned Glicenstein to make a bust of him.
