I.o.b.b. District Lodge Ends Its Convention in Houston

With the election of Charles Jacobson of Little Rock. Ark., as incoming prsident and the choosing of Mobile, Ala, for the 1929 convention, the fifty-fifth annual session of the Grand Lodge of District No. 7. Independent Order B’nai Brith closed here Tuesday afternoon.

Appropriations voted from the B’nai Brith permanent philanthropic fund included $10,000 to the B’nai Brith Home at Memphis. $20,000 to the Jewish Children’s Home. New Orleans. $8,000 to the Leo N. Levi Memorial Hospital, Hot Springs, $7,000 to the Touro Infirmary. New Orleans and numerous minor donations.

Judge Henry J. Dannenbaum of Houston, was toastmaster of the closing banquet.

Edm##d J. Bamberger, personnel manager of the Stanley Company of America, Philadephia he had been connected with the Summley Company for some years. Mr. Bamberger was a member of a prominent Philadelphia family and was connected with the Me## Club and other organizations.
