Hamburg Senate Rejects Schechita Prohibition

A resolution aiming to introduce prohibition of the schechita. Jewish religious method of slaughtering animals, in the city of Hamburg was defeated in the Senate by a majority vote.

The measure was sponsored by the anti-Semitic National Socialist Party.
