Order Additional Police for Jerusalem Streets

Striet instructions for the re-establishment of security in the streets of Jerusalem was ordered by the High Commissioner, Lord Plumber, it become Known today.

The order of the High Commissioner is the result of representations made by the Vaad Leumi, motional Council of Palestine Jews, asking for protection of women and girls following numerous attacks made recently in the city and vicinity.

Muhamed Hussein Rizik one of the victims of the mysterious shooting King George Avenue on Friday, June 8, died in hospital here. Ali Muhamed Abdullah who was with him at the time of the shooting died immediately after the shooting.

A gift of $200,000 from James Speyer, New York banker, was announced by the Museum of the City of New York endowment fund.

This gift, and one of a like amount from John D. Rockefeller, Jr. complete the $2,000,000 fund sought.

David P. Whole, presented a check for $10,000 to the St. Louis Y.M.H.A.-Y.W.H.A. for a summer camp.
