Max Silverstein and Max L. Hollander, both of New York, were re-elected to the respective offices of Grand Master and Grand Secretary of the Independent Order Brith Abraham at the forty-second annual convention of the Order which closed its sessions here yesterday. Past Grand Master Judge Gustave Hartman presided over the installation ceremonies.

The final action of the convention was the adoption of a resolution on the death of Joseph Barondess.

Deputy Grand Masters elected were Nathan Perlman. Samuel Kalesky, Samuel Blasenstein. Louis Slutsky, Louis O. Sobel, A. Rubin. Michael Novak, Maxwell Suls, K. Solomowitz, Harris Basilinsky. Meyer Radeloff, Charles H. Kramer. William Laken was chosen Grand Trustee and Mr. Goldberg, Grand Treasurer. The delegates voted to hold the next convention in Atlantic City.

The cornerstone for the new buildings of the Cleveland Jewish Orphan Home of B’nai Brith Districts Nos. 2 and 6, will be laid on July 8 and 9, when the sixtieth anniversary of the founding of the Home is to be celebrated. A committee headed by George I. Wirpel, president of the Alumni Association is in charge of the program which includes the annual re-union of the Homes’ Alumni.
