The annual convention of the Young Judaea was opened here yesterday afternoon at the Hotel Scarborough with 200 delegates in attendance. More delegates are expected to arrive for today’s sessions.

Miss Libby Jacobson of Boston was elected chairman of the Committee of Committees at the first session which was devoted to organizational matters.

Dr. Israel Goldstein presided at the formal opening of the convention. A decision to abstain from discussion of the present controversy in Zionist ranks was adopted.

The subject of Jewish education is one of the principal features to come up for discussion at the sessions.
