New England Jewish Farmers to Mark Field Day

Governor John H. Trumbull of Connecticut will be the principal speaker at the third annual field day of the Connecticut Jewish Farmer to be held August 12 in the towns of Ellington and Bloom-field, it was announced. Henry Morgenthau. Jr., publisher of the American Agriculturist, Gabriel Davidson general manager of the Jewish Agricultural Society, S. McLean Buckingham, commissioner of agriculture for Connecticut, Sidney Edwards, director of the Bureau of Markets and Benjamin C. Stone, editor of the “Jewish Farmer” will address the meeting to be held on field day.

The program for the field day is being arranged by Samuel Kostolefsky of Rockville, the extension agent of the Jewish Agricultural Society and the Jewish Farmers of Ellington and those of Reinfield farms in Bloom-field.

It is expected that more than 4,000 Jewish farmers of Connecticut and other sections of New England besides others from New York and New Jersey will attend the convention.
