Junior B’nai Brith Prepares for Activities

Arrangements for the forthcoming activities of the Aleph Zadek Aleph, the junior organization of the Independent Order of B’nai Brith, are b##ng made by the Advisory Council here. The program will include studies in religion, social service, communal work and educational activities.

Questionnaires are being sent to various communities which will aid the Advisory Council in making programs and suggesting work to the A. Z. A. chapters in those localities. The chapters will study what is going on in their respective communities with a view of helping wherever they can be of assistance.

Among the activities for the coming year will be special A.Z.A. services in temples; land synagogues arranged ##n cooperation with the A.Z.A. chapters, members being requested to attend these and other Jewish services during the year.

Groups and study circles in Hebrew will be part of the program of the season. Studies in Jewish history, the Bible, contemporary events of Jewish interest, movements of significance in Jewish life, will form part of the program.

Exhibits of Jewish art, Jewish ceremonial objects, books on Jewish subjects, Jewish concerts, will form an integral part of the activities of the A.Z.A. chapters. Discussions, debates on Jewish subjects and oratorical contests will be arranged.

The new phases of work will not interfere with the athletic activities of the A.Z.A.

The Advisory Council of the A.Z.A. is headed by Sam Beber, Omaha, Nebraska, president.

An effort to overcome the problem of fog in aviation has been undertaken by the Deniel Guggenheim Fund for the Promotion of Aeronautics. The campaign, according to Harry F. Guggenheim. President of this organization, is to go on until the difficulty of fogs in flying has been conquered or airmen realize their efforts are useless.

The fund will establish “a full-flight laboratory on a section of an established airway where fog-flying under regular operating conditions can be studied.”

Ezekiel Rabinowitz. Assistant Manager of the Judea Industrial Corporation, has resigned his position to become manager of the Palestine Industrials. Inc., a New York company which imports Palestine products.
