Lord, Plumer, retiring High Commissioner of Palestine, was praised by the London Times in an editorial today “for reconciling animosities and drawing the Arabs and Jews steadily closer together.”
“The time is perhaps near,” the editorial writes, “thanks largely to these efforts, when the constitution of the country may be more broadlv based on chosen elements of both races.”
