The Great Synagogue of Duesseldorf was desecrated last night by unknown vandals.

A mammoth swastica, the emblem of the German anti-Semites, was emblazoned in red paint on the doors of the synagogue, with the inscription, “Ludana perish !” The Board of the Duesseldorf Jewish community issued an announcement which was placarded in the streets of the city that a reward of 1,000 marks will be paid for apprehension of the culprits.
