Rabbi Mordecai Samuel Halevi Zudkowicz, one of the leading authorities on the Jewish Calendar, died at Zgiersz at the age of 70. He was the author of the well known Zgiersz Calendar. His annual calendar calculations were approved by leading rabbis and served as a basis for all Jewish calendars.
