The sensational result of the community vote for the choice of a rabbi to the most important Orthodox Jewish community in Germany has called forth wide interest.

The members of the Frankfurt community were called upon to decide on the candidacy of Dr. Raphael Breuer, who served as rabbi of the community and was widely known as an outstanding leader of the Orthodox world organization, Agudath Israel.
