Palestine Hebrew Teachers Visit Syria

A group of Palestine Hebrew teachers, headed by Dr. Epstein, arrived here on a tour of Syria and the Lebanon.

In Damascus the group was accorded a cordial welcome. A meeting of Syrian and Jewish teacher was called where respective educational problems were discussed. The Education Minitry received the teachers delegation.

A reception in their honor was given by the Beirut Jewish community at the summer resort Aley.

Leopold Bloom. Chicago philanthropist and retired Board of Trade operator, died Friday. night at the Drake Hotel. He was seventy-five years old.

Mr. Bloom was long a business associate of Philip D. Armour.
