Alfred Mond, namesake of Lord Melchett, the former Sir Alfred Mond. committed suicide at the country estate, Greyfriars. at Storington. West Sussex. Alfred Mond, the son of Emile Mond, a cousin of Lord Melchett, was 25 years old. He left a wife and five months old son. The body was found hanged.
