Obtains Concession to Install ‘movies’ on Trains

Herr Braun. Muncacz Jewish financier, is the first to receive a concession from the Czecho-Slovakian Government to instal cinematographs on the express passenger trains travelling to Prague, Oderberg, Kaschau and Czop, it was announced here today.

The Czecho-Slovakian Ministry of Transport has consented to the innovation on this railway system as an experiment.

A campaign for $9,000 to carry on the work of the Erie Hebrew Institute, of Erie, Pa. will be launched at a banquet on Sept. 18. The campaign closes Sept. 24.

The Jewish National Fund of America has issued its Jewish almanac and calendar for the coming year 5689, beginning with September 15, the first day of Rosh Hashnah. Copies of the booklet are distributed free.
