The memory of Aldo Pontremoli, Jewish scientist who was lost when part of General Nobile’s airship “Italia” was wrecked on its polar expedition, was honored at the session of the League’s Commission for Intellectual Cooperation which is meeting here.

A moving tribute was paid by the General Secretary of the Commission, Prince Rohan, who emphasized the loss to science in Pontremoli’s death.
