Announcement was made of the appointment of Frederick Brown, as vice chaiman of the Ottinger Business Men’s League, which is supporting the Atterney General in his campaign for Governor.

In a statement praising the Republican candidate, the well known New York philanthropist declared: “The main reason why I am for the election of Mr. Ottinger as Governor and why I have accepted the vice chairmanship of this Business Men’s League is that I find that too few people appreciate what it is to do preventative charity, and therefore. I want to do everything within my power to insure the election of a man who has made a distinguished record in this rare field of constructive work. Mr. Ottinger’s activities as Attorney General of the State have saved the people more money than all the charities taken together. In one year alone his efforts saved over $300,000,000 by preventing stock trands and he has saved for the man and woman in modest circumstances incalculable millions in his fight against loan sharks.

This is the kind of charity we want and we would not need so much of the other kind of charity if there were more public servants with Albert Ottinger’s ideals and courage in carrying them out.

“Because I believe that the man who has served his state and nation so splendidly merits provision upon such to ## record I am asking my friends to join me in the privilege of helping the election of Albert Ot##”
