A resolution forbidding Sunday market trade was adopted by the drapers’ Chamber of Trade.

At present sixty markets out of the 168 in the city of London are open on Sundays. If the government would enforce an ordinance based on the resolution, Jewish merchants would lose ## percent of their weekly turnover.
