Alfred M. Cohen, President of the Independent Order B’nai Brith, in a telegraphic communication from Cincinnati to the “Jewish Daily Bullerin,” expressed his protest against the injection into the present campaign of political propaganda which may give the appearance of a Jewish phase in the campaign.

Mr. Cohen, making reference to the statements published in the “Jewish Daily Bulletin” by prominent New York Jewish leaders concerning the various candidates and the discussion as to the issues of the campaign, declared: “The more respectable the names associated with such propaganda, the greater the danger thereof. You are placing some who have most vehemently resented the charge that there exists a Jewish vote in the position of attempting to create a Jewish vote. The entire procedure is deplorable and should be stopped and to the greatest possible extent should be recalled.” In his telegram the President of the Independent Order B’nai Brith also protests against using the “Jewish Daily Bulletin” as a medium for disseminating views of Jewish leaders on the political campaign issues.
