Important changes in the five-year program previously formulated by the Comzet, the Soviet Government department for carrying on Jewish colonization work in Soviet Russia were decided upon at a meeting of the Comzet yesterday.

It was explained on good authority that the changes were determined due to the criticism of the original plan. It was added that an investigation convinced the Comzet leaders that the original plan for the draining of the White Russian swamp regions to be made suitable for Jewish settlement work was found unfeasible and therefore discarded.

Instead, the Comzet has decided to prepare another plan for a period of five years. In this new plan, other measures for the productivization of the Jewish masses in Soviet Russia will be sought.
