The petition submitteed by the anti-Zionist Arab Executive in Jerusalem, demanding the creation of a representative government, was on the agenda of the Mandates Commission at its session yesterday. Dr. William Rappard was the rapporteur on the question.

It is learned that the Mandates Commission expressed its view after a discussion of the Arab petition, that the decision concerning the inauguration of parliamentary government in Palestine, rests with the Mandatory power. The official report of the Commission will be available in March, 1929, when it will be submitted to the Council of the League of Nations at its session then.
