Georg Bernhard, editor-in-chief of the “Vossische Zeitung,” was unanimously elected president of the International Newspapermen’s Association at its annual convention held in Dijon.

Herr Bernhard expressed his resentment at the action of the Hungarian government in deporting the correspondent of the “Vossiche Zeitung,” Bruno Heilig, for reporting in detail the anti-Semitic excesses in Budapest. Steps to protest this action will be taken through international channels, he stated.
