Willy Bruss, banker and member of the anti-Semitic Voelkische party, was sentenced today to one year imprisonment after he was found guilty of defrauding 20,000 depositors in his bank.
The victims were mainly small traders and artisans who were induced to make deposits in his bank after he had launched a campaign propagating the doctrine that “German capital must be free from Jewish influence.”
