Anti-semites Fail to Curry Favor with Jewish Judge

An attempt to curry court favor by expressions of anti-Semitism failed when the plea was made before a Jewish judge.

The defendant in an action brought by a Jewish railway conductor for an assault made on him, turned to the judge exclaiming. “I am an Aryan and I don’t want to be troubled by Jews.” The district judge who was hearing the case, a Jew, imposed a fine on the defendant.
