Twenty-seven Milwaukee Jewish organizations, through their accredited representatives, pledged their cooperation with the United Palestine Appeal in their forthcoming drive at a meeting held at the Hotel Wisconsin. Captains were named and teams organized to represent practically every Jewish organization in Milwaukee.
Morris Miller, general chairman of the United Palestine Appeal, acted as chairman of the evening. “I welcome you in the name of the United Palestine Appeal,” he said. “Your presence here this evening is adequate proof of your determination to work energetically for the cause. I am sure that everyone of you will tenaciously stick to the job until the drive for $50,000 is successfully consummated. With such enthusiasm I have no fears but what the drive will be an unquestioned success.”
