A conference to consider the introduction of Hebrew into the curricula of American high schools and colleges has been called by Avukah, the American Student Zionist Federation, to be held at the Hotel Pennsylvania, Sunday evening, May 5th Representatives of leading educational institutions have been invited to attend. It is expected that a Hebrew campaign committee will be formed as a result of the conference to take practical steps to make Hebrew a part of the high school and colleeg program. The conference is to be held under the chairmanship of Dr. S. Benderly, of the Bureau of Jewish Education.
Among the institutions to be represented at the conference are: Agudath Hamorin, Avukuh, Bureau of Jewish Education, Histadruth, Intercollegiate Menorah Association, Jewish Institute of Religion, Jewish Teachers Association Jewish Teachers Institute, Yeshiva School for Teachers, Young Judaea.
Robert D. Grosman, Newark, N. J. lawyer, has been appointed a deputy attorney general of the State of New Jersey. The appointment was announced by Attorney General Stevens who designated Mr. Grosman in charge of the division of securities.
