Kovunovsky during their persecutions of the family, the judge decreed that the Jewish woman should pay a fine of thirty roubles. A fine of a like amount was imposed on the anti-Semites, the reason being given that this was not a case of anti-Semitism but merely a quarrel between neighbors.
The papers pointed to the persecutions which had lasted over a long period and which had the character of a systematic, anti-Semitic attack.
