Jewess First Woman Labor Court Judge in Germany

Dr. Edith Klausner, a Jewess, has taken her seat as Chairman of the Labor Court of Berlin. She is the only woman Labor Court judge in Germany. Dr. Klausner is an authority on labor legislation and was for sixteen years head of the Labor Employment Exchange of the City of Berlin.

The $500,000 Deficiency Fund of the Betl-Israel Hospital and the Federation of Jewish Charities of Boston has been completed, with the exception of $25,000 which the workers in the campaign under the chairmanship of Mar Shoclman have underwritten.

Bismarck, North Dakota, is to have a synagogue. Rabbi J. H. Mekler announced plan to construct a $20,000 building as soon as drive for funds is completed.
