Chaliapin to Play in Palestine Opera in Fall

Feodor Chaliapin will sing with the Palestine Opera Company this fall, according to a statement made by Golinkin, head of the company. Chaliapin will sing the role of Boris Godunoff, which will be given at the first performance of the reorganized company.

Chaliapin has accepted engagements in Egypt, from where he will come to Palestine.

Charlie Chaplin will visit Palestine in August, according to a report from Beirut quoting an announcement of Thomas Cook & Son, steamship agents.

The famous comedian is now on a tour of the Balkans and Turkey and is expected to visit Syria and Palestine.
