Exiled Rabbi, Academy Head, Suffers Hardship

Letters received here from Soviet Russia, described the plight of Rabbi Levitan, former head of the Talmudic Academy at Mevl who was exiled by the Soviet Government to Symbirsk. The Academy head was exiled following the close of his Yeshiva. The Rabbi and his family are actually on the verge of starvation, it is reported.
