Tel Aviv, the first Jewish city of Palestine, wants to have the planned Einstein forest within its confines. The municipality has started negotiations with the headquarters of the Jewish National Fund with a view towards reaching an agreement that the forest be planted in its territory.

A fund for the purpose was initiated by the Zionists of Germany on the occasion of Professor Einstein’s fiftieth birthday, which occurred on March 14, 1929.
