No change will occur in the application of the numerus clausus law during the forthcoming school year, according to an announcement of the Hungarian Minister of Education Count Klebelsberg, published today.

The announcement caused wide disappointment in many liberal and Jewish circles. The only exception that will be made will be the admission, outside of numerus clausus, of such Jewish pupils who graduated from high school with distinguished scholastic records.
