Jewish Migrants Affected by Sino-russian Conflict

Several hundred Jewish migrants from Russia, enroute to South and Central America, South Africa, Canada and the United States, find themselves marooned in Harbin because of the uncertain situation arising out of the Sino-Russian conflict.

Harbin is the center where Jewish emigrants gather. An Immigrant Aid and Information Bureau is maintained there by the Hias, Hebrew Immigrant Aid and Sheltering Society of America. The New York office of the Hias has cabled to its Harbin office to ascertain the number of migrants now stranded there.
