Lady Samuel, the wife of Sir Herbert Samuel, opened the session of the Women’s International Zionist Organization in the presence of 60 delegates, representing 21 countries.

Lady Samuel was chosen honorary chairman of the conference.

The Women’s International Zionist Organization, which is organized along lines parallel to the World Zionist Organization, carries on specific pieces of work in Palestine in the field of education, particularly of women. Mrs. L. Freiman, of Ottawa, Canada, was given an ovation when she reported that the Canadian Hadassah and W. I. Z. O. mantained independently a girls’ farm at Nahalal.

The sessions were addressed by Miss Henrietta Szold, Felix Rosenbleuth, Dr. Eder, and others.
