Trial for Jewish Youth Suspected of Communism

One hundred young Jewish men will be tried by a military court on the suspicion of Communism in connection with the August 1 demonstrations.

Severe sentences are expected due to the state of siege in the country.

The government has prohibited the Jews from visiting the Ligmianer Cemetery situated at the Polish frontier, which thousands of Jews in Poland and Lithuania are in the habit of visiting during the month of Ellul.
