The Jewish cemetery in the town Hermeskeil was desecrated by unknown vandals. Many graves were destroyed.
Following the attack on the cemetery a street fight occurred between members of the anti-Semitic National Socialist party and Jewish residents of the town. A number of Jews were seriously wounded.
