Jewish Protest Meetings Continue Throughout World

Five thousand persons, and many thousands who were unable to gain admission, participated in a mass meeting called by all groups of the Jewish community to protest against the Palestine outrages. A resolution of protest was adopted.

An effort to stage a street demonstration was blocked by the refusal of the authorities to grant permission.

Special services will be held in all synagogues, and Jewish shops will be closed on Wednesday, when a day of mourning for the Palestine victims will be observed.

Fifty young Jewish men applied at the war office for permission to go to Palestine for service.
