Viscount Chelwood, replying to an inquiry from the Jewish Telegraphic Agency sent the following telegram from Geneva where he is now attending the League Assembly.

“I am feeling deep horror at the outrage and murder in Palestine. Such action will never influence the policy of the British government.”
