The sympathies of the American people are behind the movement to establish a nation home there for the Jewish race, declared Senator Arthur Capper of Kansas, speaking on the present situation in Palestine.
He said that he believed that Great Britain was doing everything in her power to compose the difficulties and deserved the encouragement of Americans rather than criticism.
“I would like to see Palestine restored to the Jews, under Jewish government. Whether that is possible under present conditions in Arabia, in face of the conflicting national elements, can be determined as a policy only after a careful and exhaustive study by a responsible commission.”
