Dr. Lee K. Frankel Returns Urges Understanding with Arabs in Palestine

Dr. Lee K. Frankel, vice-president of the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, and a member of the administrative committee of the Jewish Agency Council, returned on the “Berengaria” Friday. To a correspondent of the Jewish Daily Bulletin, Dr. Frankel stated that the recent events in Palestine again emphasized the need for an Arab-Jewish understanding.

“There are, to our regret, some among us who indulge in irresponsible statements which harm this understanding. I believe that when the Arabs will appreciate that when the Jews develop the country the Arabs will benefit as much as the Jewish population and when the upbuilding of Palestine will be carried on in a business-like manner, an understanding will not be difficult to reach,” he said.

While on the steamer Dr. Frankel had occasion to confer with Prime Minister MacDonald and to arrange for the reception by the Premier of (Continued on Page 4)
