Ittamar Ben Avi, well-known Hebrew publicist and co-editor of the “Doar Ha’yom,” who was wounded during the Jerusalem outbreak, arrived here on his way to the United States.

On arrival he stated that the Palestine authorities were unwilling to permit him to leave the country. He proceeded by boat to Beirut, where he obtained permission from the French to land.

The Jews of Palestine have shown a splendid understanding and they fought for their own country, he said. “The Yishub unanimously demands the dismissal of culprits like Keith-Roach, and the creation of a Jewish militia in the colonies.”

Mr. Ben Avi stated that he is going to London and New York to divulge the truth regarding the Palestine events, as the government still stifles the press.
