An unsuccessful attempt to shoot the Roumanian Minister of the Interior, Vaida, was made by Abram Goldenberg, a store clerk of Jassy.

To the police, Goldenberg declared that he wanted to avenge the death of a number of miners who were killed two months ago, during a strike, in fights with Roumanian soldiers.

Together with Goldenberg there were arrested Ghiza Romascan, Saul Solomon, Gheorghiza, Chirila and Siegler. They were all declared to be members of the Communist youth organization of Jassy.
