New anti-Semitic excesses broke out in the Budapest University, as the result of an agitation for an increased numerous clausus, limiting the number of Jewish students admitted to the universities, it is reported here from the Hungarian capital.

In the medical school the Jewish students were compelled to leave the lecture hall when a band of Hungarian students marching in two columns invaded the lecture hall, beating the Jews, throwing them down the stairs and shouting anti-Semitic slogans.

Anti-Semitic agitation has been going on during the last several days in the technical school of the University where anti-Semitic leaflets were distributed. Clashes in the schools of philosophy, law and medicine were prevented two days ago when the Jewish students left the lecture hall upon the demand of the Hungarian students.
