More than five hundred claims for compensation for loss of life and property by Jewish victims of the recent outbreak in the southern district alone have been presented. Including Jaffa and Jerusalem the claims total £186.248 (approximately $931,240). Of this sum £65,000 is claimed for loss of life and for bodily injuries and loss of limbs.
