The second trial of Arabs for murder during the Safed attack was begun today in the Haifa District Court sitting as the Criminal Assizes. Judge Litt presided.
The prisoners are charged with murdering Mrs. Lula Farajoun, sixty-year-old Jewish woman, who was shot through a window during the outbreak. One of the assailants, who escaped, fired a shotgun, the bullet entering her breast. He shouted, “Are you still alive, you daughter of dogs?”
The four are on trial as accomplices of the assailant. They were identified by the granddaughter of the murdered woman who was concealed under the bed.
