Jews’ Counsel Visit Scenes of Recent Outbreak

Sir Boyd Merriman and Lord Erleigh, the counsel briefed to present the Jews’ case before the Commission of Inquiry, visited Safed on Sunday. They were escorted by Col. Frederick H. Kisch of the Zionist Executive. The counsel are making a tour of inspection of all points which suffered in the outbreak.

Building programs are contemplated by the three Reform congregations of St. Louis, Mo. Shaare Emeth Temple is conducting a drive for a new building, the site of which has been purchased. Temple Israel has drawn plans for a Community House and B’nai El has under consideration the purchase of a new building.

Rabbi Ferdinand M. Isserman, formerly of Toronto, was installed as Rabbi of Temple Israel, and Rabbi Julius Gordon, formerly of Worcester, Mass., has taken the position of Rabbi vacated by Rabbi Louis Witt, at Shaare Emeth Temple.
