Emergency Relief Fund Passes $2,000,000 Mark

With contributions totalling $2,003,648, the Palestine Emergency Fund has passed the $2,000,000 mark. The total will be considerably increased, it is anticipated, David A. Brown, National Chairman of the Emergency Fund stated, when the receipts from the Madison Square Garden benefit bouts have been received.

Of the total raised, $69,838, were contributed by the Jews in New York, $50,000 through the “Jewish Morning Journal,” $35,000 through the “Forward,” $40,000 through the “Day.” New York State raised $135,524. Chicago, whose committee is headed by Julius Rosenwald. Judge Harry Fisher and James Davis, came second with $104,333 and Philadelphia, whose committee is headed by Dr. Cyrus Adler and Albert H. Lieberman, third with $95.536.
